Looked great out of the box. One of the sides, the edges were at 90 degrees. The other side they were nice and beveled. I just sanded the sharp edge down to a slightly beveled edge, and sanded the whole thing with very fine sand paper. It didn,t really need it, but this is a beautiful work of art. I figured 10 minutes of sanding for something I would have for years is a small price to pay. I took other people's suggestion and oiled it every day for a week, and now oil it once a week. There is no splits, separation, or warping, just one beautiful board. It is the perfect size and weight. It also has cutouts for lifting. Look no further, buy it.
