Laser tested for accuracy, the unique, compound angle of the blade tapers from the spine of the knife to the edge to create a sturdy, yet extremely sharp cutting surface. It also tapers from the bolster to the tip to give the knife enhanced strength and flexibility. Even more, Wusthof knives offer sharp, precisely tempered blades that allow the knife to hold its edge for an extremely long time (while still being easy to maintain). Love the finish and overall size of the knife, as well as the fit for my hand, which is pretty small. As with any big German knife, expect it to be a little heavy. The only part I don't like is that when using a pinch grip, the top side of the bolster is a little sharp, but I plan to grind it down so it's a little more seamless where it melds into the spine of the blade.

Buy this knife and look no further !!! Heavier than thors hammer sharper than three piece suit and sexier than olivia wylde ( not by much ) better rock than a boat - the dudes at whustof got this one right

You get what you pay for, cuts like a charm! There is no case with this knife, I suggest buying the blade protector. There was a little scratch on mine when I received it.
